Hi, I use Stampworld quite a lot to help in identifying stamps however recently the stamp images do not appear only the text.
Has anyone else encountered this or even better a way to resolve it.
Thanks

Hi from australia. Same here. My place on all computers, my friends place on ipads and laptop. This is a good day, one out of six ain't bad. . . I posted an enquiry to support a week ago, still no reply. Hopefully they're too busy trying to fix the issue to reply to me. Good luck to everybody else. |

It might be a temporary issue - try to refresh the page. Or you need to clean your cookies. |

What browser are you using, and do you have any software or plugins running that block things on webpages? |

OK. It's not working for me either, so I dug into it a little bit.
The images are generating an error in my browser (Brave Version 1.67.116 Chromium: 126.0.6478.71), but I can't post it here because SCF's list of dirty words gets triggered. It's due to CORB, a security feature that's been added into the newest versions of most browsers. It's a good thing, but can cause problems if a website is coded incorrectly.
If I try to load the image directly from its source URL, I get a 500 error, which is an internal server error. I feel safe in saying the problem is not on your end. |

THE ANSWER.... .
Hi again from Australia. I received a reply from support last night. Use a VPN and tell them you live in Netherlands. It worked for me. Insert your own smiley jumpy face thing. My stampworld catalogue works again. Just don't be Australian. |

Just an update for others like me that don't know what they're doing. You can't send emails with a VPN on. |

It's the same for me - images not manifesting on the pages. I'm in UK, using Firefox. I'm definitely not going to use a VPN just to get around it. |

Images stopped displaying for me in mid June 2024. It doesn't work using Chrome or Microsoft Edge in Windows nor Safari on my iPhone. It is iInteresting that the first several USA images appear but none after 1867.
An advanced IT security professional investigated the situation for me and reported a long detailed technical description. Essentially he said the problem is in the configuration of the site's server. He also said, "To sum up, there's nothing you can realistically do about this except wait for the site owners to fix it." If anyone wants to read his complete technical evaluation, I could send it or post it here.
He also recommended to NOT attempt to use a CORs extension or any other method to bypass or turn off the CORs process. Doing so can open your security system and invite major computer problems.
Peace, Doc Watson |

I in Australia also are having the same problem. VPNing to Netherlands as suggested by ERT does work for me.
