Hello, need some ideas on what town cancellation this may be from? I had thought maybe Bullard, TX but their post office was not established until 1883.
Any other town names come to mind with the last 4 letters being "...lard"

Thanks

See here: https://www.postalhistory.com/posto...htype=string

Jim Forte has spent much time creating the post office list. Now go through the returns to find a town or towns which both match the date period and geographic location.

EDIT: Pollard, Alabama is the first such listing to qualify of the 180

Was curious, too and see the block letters also look very similar to this 1864 Pollard, AL postmark

phistory - thanks for the nice looking postal cover. I went through the entire list, narrowed down to dates of post offices that may apply and agree Pollard, AL is the postmark location. Your additional example confirms it. Thanks for posting.
