Could it be that the vermilion color was taken from 219-E1 experimental essays? I haven't been able to find 219d and 220 in vermilion anywhere. Thank you.

I don't understand what "still no" implies. Do you mean that this isn't the same color on both stamps, that it isn't vermilion, or that vermilion is a regular color for #220?

You keep posting but my answer to the question of your thread, "Opinion, #220 Color Error?" remains and is still, "No." There is no color error shown, none, zip, nada, zero, not at all, etc.

My simple question is: what color is the 2c stamp and what color is the 7c stamp?

Parcelpostguy, you are absolutely right, 100% my mistake for not immediately following your advice and completely eliminating the use of the phone. The difference between a photograph and a real microscope is incredible. Sorry, and best regards.

Dusko, that is far from a simple question
Colors are very hard to distinguish through a computer

Yes, if you read my text above, the image refers exactly to that. There are two photos of the stamps—one taken with a phone and the other scanned—and you can see a drastic difference. The phone photo confused me and led me in the completely wrong direction, so I won't be using the phone for photographing anymore, and I now advise others to do the same. Best regards.
