It's at $483 with 5+ hours left to go when I post this.

Given that all items in the lot are pictured (pavstamps is actually quite good about this), I'm failing to see where the value is. In all candor I wouldn't pay $100 for the lot. In fact, I bought a couple of revenue document box lots from Denny Peoples yesterday at a 1-day show in Schererville, Indiana, that were considerably better... for much less.

I know that pavstamps has a dedicated following, like nystamps, noblespirit, etc., but man... I'm just not seeing it.

Illuminate me...

Agree! I started watching this one when it was first listed for the WA deeds but it very quickly went crazy high.

Several of the items do look like they originated from Dick Keiser.

Good luck to the winner for whatever it is they are chasing!

Unless one of the photos is historically important somehow, all I see is a $60-$75 lot.

The certificate "signed" by President Grover Cleveland might be what caught people's attention. I think it is a secretarial signature, but can only see the first name..

I admit that the embossed revenue that mentioned John Brown sent me down a 30 second rabbit hole to see if it had any plausible connection to the forebears of the abolitionist.

Only a cople guesses which are probably wrong.

The photo of the early airplane under construction. But that would require it to be important and two or more people to know exactly what it is.

The Lowell box receipt that has newspaper postage and has an image similar to the newspaper stamps? It might be nice to go with a newspaper stamp collection but even living in Lowell I'm not seeing it being that much.

The reclining soldier is possibly a young George Patton. I'm not sure if it is, and I'm not sure if that would warrant the sale price.
