Inherited Collection Scott 41 & Scott 544 Identification

Hello,

I inherited a binder of US stamps sorted by scott number. They are hinged to the pages on a specific number. Whether or not they are on the right number I'm not sure.

There are two stamps that are hinged to Scott 41 and Scott 544.

These two seem to be quite difficult to identify and I'm no expert.

I'll upload the rest of the pages when I'm back from thanksgiving dinner. There is 38 pages with some Mexico stamps near the end.

Any help is appreciated!

You are wise to question the identity of anyone else's mounting/labeling, especially when a stamp is ID'd as a 'better" item.
In this case, the 1st stamp is a Scott 26 as evidenced by the right-side frame line extending below the rest of the design and to the edge of the stamp.
The second stamp is perforated 10x10, so it cannot be 544, which is perf 11x11.
