New Member. Advanced Collector But Still Need Help Identifying This One

Hello all. I'm new here. Lots of forums to explore. Looking to trade someday when I have enough posts. I'm into worldwide mostly. Russia, China, Mexico, Japan, France, Spain etc. Looking to discuss this great hobby with like minded people. Thanks for having me. To start things off I've been collecting for 30 years but I'm having trouble identifying this China stamp below. I can't seam to find it. Thanks for any help you can give. Cheers

This is South Korea revenue stamp, 1948, Tong Dae Mun temple (East Gate), listed in J. Barefoot's "South East Asia Revenues" (2006) as catalog No. 22, 3W purple or No.22a 3W lake.

Collecting for the enjoyment of collecting, whatever that might be, is the name of the game. Don't hesitate to ask questions especially if you need basic information and especially more advanced sources of information for any possible topic. You should be able to find folks on this board a little further along on their collecting journey glad to share experiences.

My personal bias is a used stamp loses the story of its journey in the postal service when it is removed from the cover it transported to its destination. Collecting postal history adds a whole new aspect to your journey in our hobby.
