Perfins Punched Upside Down

Hi own stamp 2/ Birds 1964 with Perfins punched, I would like to sell this stamp as I am currently trying to raise some mortgage money and feel the value of the stamp may assist. The Correct Perfins read G NSW the Incorrect perfins on the stamp I hold read G (upside down) WSN (upside down). I have a slight issue here..there is a very small amount of foxing on the stamp at top near perfins. The foxing is a small area. I am reading many different articles of advice relating to this..Do I or Don't I try to remove the foxing?? Any advice would be much appreciated. Regards

You might have more than a slight issue, as the general state of your stamp is not too good.

I'm not sure if it applies to Australian official pefins, but on many commercial perfins the clerks doing the work would fold the sheet accordion style so they could perfin several at once.
So about half are inverted.
Or, they just fed them in any way they felt like it, so they can be in all sorts of orientations.

Perfins are not desirable to collectors unless they collect perfins. Even perfin collectors don't generally care about the orientation of the perfin.
Your two stamps are in very poor condition (creases and missing perforation teeth).
The 2/- stamp is very common and only worth a few cents if in excellent condition.
The "foxing" appears to be the remnants of hinge, probably one of poor quality.

Save your time, collect more perfins little by little, and then try selling them together as an international bundle. These official perfins on new Australian stamps are nice to look at, but nothing more. I collect perfins worldwide, but I'm never pleased when I find one of those G/NSW perfins in larger ebay lots - even if they are in perfect condition.

If you are trying to raise mortgage money, these stamps are not going to do it for you since you will probably be lucky to get pennies, not dollars. As far as foxing is concerned, this appears to be more a "Scotch Tape" type residue from a crude hinge attempt.
