Hi, could anyone tell me of any websites, tables or blogs explaining the different Hong Kong Definitives, ie, upright watermarks, sideways watermarks, etc. A bit like the different Canadian definitive tables, etc
This is an extremely useful reference for the KGVI definitives of Hong Kong. There was so many printings of this set that one can collect in even deeper detail than laid out on this website.
Most "Elizabethan Catalogs" from the 1970s or later should have printing information for the QE2 definitives of Hong Kong. You'll be blown away by how many printings these sets had, especially the 1954 set. Some stamps had more than 20 printings but Gibbons only notes the print dates. There is no info about shades to look for unless the printing has a Gibbons number.
