The photo shows both a 1 anna and a 6np Asoka Pillar stamps. To my eye with a magnifyer I cannot see a difference other than the value. The colors appear identifcal as to the other features. Just curious as to whether this was a change in the currency or something else.

The righthand stamp is a pre-decimal (16 Anna = 1 Rupee) stamp.
The lefthand stamp is in decimal currency (100 naye paise = 1 Rupee). In 1964, naye was dropped.

1 Anna was 1/16th, i.e., 6.25/100th of a Rupee.
6 np were 6/100th of a Rupee.
