Hi, I will try and attach image. have stamp in my album I identified some time ago as a Scott 119 but now I wonder if it is actually a 129, only because it does not have a grill. Would someone please give me their opinion on this? Thanks, Bob.
Recommend only buy these re-issues with OG present. It's easy to press out the grill when the gum is gone; impossible with OG Best buy = certified stamps
Scott 118 - fringe around vignette, no diamond at top center
Scott 119 - fringe around center and diamond at the top center
Scott 129 - no fringe, no diamond, no grill
You can see illustrations of these stamps on PF search and Robert A Siegel power search. This should be of help. The notation in the Scott US Specialized is imperfect in my opinion
