This is James A. I have come across a huge quantity of 1294's, and I believe I have found a 1294b. This is the black color variety stated as black violet. Just would liked some comment on my find. Thanks to all, this is my first post.

I would agree that it is an excellent candidate to be a 1294b. Can you check for tagging? All known 1294b's do not have tagging. A good place to start.

He just used coils of this design, no sheet stamps.

Edit:

Have I seen a 1294B? Yes but I will not pronounce a color judgement from a monitor picture.

IMO the stamp has too much violet in it.
