Hello, Does anyone know if there was a catalogue of exhibits produced for the 1936 Dorland Hall exhibition?
Secondly, anyone know if there was a magazine in the UK simply called stamp collecting, especially a copy dated to December 12th 1936,
Thanks

Thanks for the link, it confirms that it is stamp collecting, issued by a company on the strand, so would it be gibbons? |

That's great, now I know what I'm looking for for, I tried various iterations on a Google search but came up for nothing, I doubt there's an archive for it but I'm sure there's going to be a copy somewhere,
The other item I'm looking for is the exhibit catalogue, I know it exists as says its available from news agents on the original ticket I have and that it's illustrated.

The address given for the magazine, 428 Strand, is where one of the entrances to the Charing Cross tube station is. It might have been an address for the publisher, but not for the dealer. |

NSK - on Google, 428 is showing as a branch of Boots (next to one of those "candy stores" that are covers for criminal activity, and near Zimbabwe House, which was originally decorated with Epstein's wonderful sculptures, before they were desecrated). 428 looks a pretty recent creation or, at least, facade. |

You are correct, I mistook William IV Street for Duncannon Street. 428 is a little further away from Trafalgar Square. |
