Scott 2025 Essay Proof Catalog

Well it came today. I ordered it direct from Amosadvantage and it came quickly, along with a 15% discount coupon on my next order due to their delays.

I'm just sitting down to look it over.

I have had my copy since the first weekend in November 2024, picked up at a show from Jaffe. Now I am still waiting for my 2025 US Specialized from him, but it should arrive any day now.

I like the cover essay better than the final stamp design issued. But I agree the as issued design better showcases the clerk who is the point of the stamp. If ever offered, I would buy this for that reason. Originally I limited myself to just the essays and proofs created on or after 1-1-1913. That involves the 3, 50 and 100 cent stamps as well as all values as P2a proofs.

I made the silly assumption that if the US specialized was delayed this would be too. Well anyway, overall I have to admit I like the separate book as its easier to handle and find things in than if all packed in one book.

Overall this has become a pretty respectable reference item for essays & proofs.
