I received mine the other day and have had a little time today to really have a good look at the updates to the values. There are lots of changes some good and some bad especially to the classics pre 1935. There are also new varieties added to some of the classics such as #231 with different flaws listed that I noticed. Of course those changes have probably been listed for some time now. My last catalog was from 2019. So I'll have fun looking for those varieties in my hoard.

I only speculate that many of the changes have come about because the market has been flooded with hoards of what is considered by many to be common book stuff by the recent discoveries of vast hoards coming out of the wood work. Such as #219d lake in color I for one have in my possession more than 50 copies and more than 300 of #220. I quit counting the number of #300's and #267's I have.

Not surprising since these are common stamps. How certain are you of the Lake stamps?

Pretty certain. Here are 4 on the color guide. The Scott Specialized Color Guide For U.S. Stamps to be precise.

Shades of Lake and even Carmine possibly. You either you love them or hate them. It's enough to drive a sane man crazy.
