Honestly, it is much easier if you use Google to find the information you need. Since you are in Malaysia, and we don't know what Countries stamps you wish to certify it is hard to answer you. Can you provide more than one sentence giving some details?
FYI - If you have a Scott catalog you will find a section that lists most of the major expertizing organizations.

I agree with floortrader and will add ... Considering shipping and certification costs, the savings from 4-5 certifications would get you a nice scanner. The image above is overexposed, has no real detail, and is not flat. A scanner also has so many useful non-philatlic applications. Often times the best investment for a stamp collection is not more stamps. |

According to Scott, at least, the sideways watermark is found on the carmine rose (Sc#230 for the underlying stamp), not the basic rose red.
If you have more stamps from this set, lay out several of them, sideways, and compare the network watermark with your strip. Maybe you can get a feel for what a sideways network watermark would look like.
A scanner would definitely help, and it doesn't have to be particularly new or fancy, as long as it can connect to and talk to your computer. |

So far not worth sending in for certification unless scanned watermark shown. Show some more stamps you want to certify. Certs are generally not necessary. More the exception especially with knowledge and experience and some friendly advise. |

You could get an Epson or HP scanner-printer for the cost of one certificate, taking into account fee, tax and postage. |

Asj, your strip of stamps clearly shows vertical gum breakers (in German, Gummiriffelung) therefore you have a vertical watermark orientation, not sideways. "Inverted" has no meaning for this type of watermark. |

Quote: As your strip of stamps clearly shows vertical gum breakers (in German, Gummiriffelung) therefore you have a vertical watermark orientation, not sideways. Is this a rule for these stamps? I'm thinking watermarks are impressed at the paper mill. Gum breaker ridges are impressed at the printer stage. What if the paper stack from the mill was rotated by 90 degrees before printing? (I have no idea how these stamps were produced, obviously). |
