I picked out some stuff from a big accumulaion yesterday including these/

What does the 1st stand for? First mail of the day?

Aby chance this is a brown cancel? (Do you need a zoomed image to be able to say?) edited to add or is it just a faded black cancel? It looks browner to me in real life than on my screen.

The appeal of the black cancel should be obvious, but can anyone make out the red one? I understand retroreceal is no ologer availble. all I can make out is a B and a P. (if thos is a foreign transit cancel, then it may be too hard to figure out).(

Try searching for ImageSleuth

This is a little better but doesn't ring a bell with me:

Thank you.

Pretty sure Pkt is packet. Only a wild guess for MB.

I am no expert on black jack postal markings, but in the early 1860s that would definitely be "Hamb Pkt" for Hamburg Packet.

I have several 1857 issue covers with that.

I believe "first collection of the day" is more accurate.

Looks like the second stamp (light red cancels) has a double transfer in the lower right corner "cents".
