Suddenly, there are all these pop-up annoying repetitive useless ads on this site. Shame upon the people who thought this was a good idea! Talk about distracting. And... the ads concern places within twenty miles of my place. That means Google is using my data from this site. Stop it.

I too get pop-up ads, but only when I have not logged on. That appears to be Google's browser, not the site. As soon as Iog on, I get ads that do not pop up and have been there annoying me for years. But those gave been there all the time.
And yes, Google is using your data it collects when you use its browser. |

If you're logged in and receiving them, please log out and then log back in; you may have a corrupt cookie. Quote: And... the ads concern places within twenty miles of my place. That means Google is using my data from this site. Stop it. It's not just here, it's everywhere, and it's not just Google. There will always be ads; it's not free to run this or any site, as most people would like to believe. Quote: And yes, Google is using your data it collects when you use its browser. Google uses your data, no matter what browser you use. |

I'm logged in...
So... it's suddenly not free? After all these years, suddenly this week? |

Are they "pop-up annoying repetitive useless ads" like you said the first time? |

So what? They don't block any content whatsoever. They are NOT pop-up ads.
You offering to pay the bills around here? |

Why moan about trivia - adverts can subsidise SCF, just as junk mail subsidises the Post Office. |

I don't get it. Seriously. They likely never were pop-ups. I'm not allowed to offset costs at all, I guess.
If I only had this site, it would've shut down long ago. The coin site has been pulling the weight here forever. |

Sounds like YOU were the driving force behind this. Can you explain how youall lasted this long without plastering the site with women's underwear? |

It's called targeted advertising, been around for years. I see 90% baseball, Lowes, Home Depot, and home improvement ads. The ads served are based on the users' browsing and purchasing habits using cookies. FYI, there have been ads on this site since day one. They're nothing new, and they're not going away. |

I don't know why, but I now want some cookies and milk.
Seriously, Thank you to Bobby131313 for keeping this site up and running. Ads are just ads. |

Frankly, if we had more smoking hot chicks collecting stamps and at the shows, there would be more stamp collectors.
Just sayin'.....
The ads could be for compression socks, prune juice, and varicose vein cream. Who would want to see those?
Yes, Bobby - thank you for keeping the site going!!!! |
