This has probably been done before. If so, I think it might be fun to do it again. I'll start the sequence with my Danish 4RBS of 1853 (Facit 2, SG 4b) cancelled in Copenhagen with numeral 1. Has anybody got a numeral 2?

Lubeck cancel on Danish West Indies #4. Color of stamp is faded -- it's not your screen! |

My "Sequence of Numerals on Stamps" was a great success. This one is so far not quite as successful.
But surely somebody has a number four? Maybe a London Maltese Cross on a Penny Black? |

I am also surprised that there wasn't more interest. I know there are other cancellation collectors here. I could post 3-ring and 4-ring numeral cancels into the double digits. As a change of pace, here is a number 4 cancel that is so bold the stamp is barely recognizable. I'm sure someone must have a nice "5" rate marking or other interesting cancellation they can post. |

I could add the odd New South Wales numeral cancel here and there A 6 of St. Marys, but a Jeffryes forgery. |
