This topic is a perfect example of something that is useless in the future because it not searchable. The Country is not mentioned nor are there any catalog numbers. After this thread peters out the topic will be as if it never happened. We can do much better than this, can't we?

* * * Title slightly changed by Moderator to (perhaps) help with future searches related to this topic * * *

Yes, there, really, should have been a Unificato nr. in the title to make it searchable.

I agree it would help if people included catalogue numbers in their titles and posts.
Doesn't matter whether Scott, Michel, GB or whatever.

For instance in this thread we are talking about Italy Scott C75,C77,C78

Here is a snippet from a 15 year old Scott

As you can see the genuine used are worth 20x more than mint

Scott or SG catalogue numbers have zero meaning for the fast majority of Italy collectors. The collectors focused on Italy will use Sassone of Unificato that will have very little meaning here.

Issue purpose and date says a lot more.
But who says that OP was only focusing on the three stamps posted?

Thats why I said Doesn't matter whether Scott, Michel, GB or whatever.

Well the vast majority of members on SCF are Americans and second Canadians
and they do use Scott catalogue.

Any proper catalogue number is better than none

Any reference to issue and date of issue reaches everyone.

Ever wondered why the non-Americans leave this site in a hurry?

Why not forbid membership of this forum to any non-American?

Even though we do have a tarrif problem with our neighbours to the south

Yes, when I read it back I thought maybe I should edit my post and add Australia, as the reaction would be highly predictable. And sure, the predictable reaction followed.
