I was curious whether anyone attended GASS this past weekend and, if so, what your impressions were - attendance, dealers, exhibits, etc. I was booked to go, but managed to come down with a few ailments that prevented it. I will definitely be in Boston next year and at GASS in 2027 in Albuquerque right down I40 from home. Thanks.

I was at the show Friday afternoon and Saturday morning, mostly in organization and board meetings. Show looked very busy, venue was convenient and well laid out. I was able to see a lot of friends and meet some new ones.
Bought a couple of books, achieved side quests for an Italian beef (Johnnie's) and Chicago style hot dogs (Portillos). When in Chicagoland....
Not really any time to shop the bourse or look at exhibits this year due to circumstances, but I'm hoping for more time the next few years. |

Multiple dealers said it was their most successful show in many years, likening it to the "old times." I was glad to meet some new dealers that do not frequent the Chicago shows. |

I attended Thursday. I drove down from the twin cities area early that morning, spent most of the day at the show, then headed back that evening. It was a lot of driving, but worth the trip. I had a great time digging through the albums at the 10 Cent Guy's booth, and I filled a few holes in my collection. Most notably, I bought a small plate proof of the Continental 24c, Scott 164P4. I was tired of seeing that empty spot in my album and figured this would be the best way to fill it. |

I was also there on Thursday at the 10 cent guy's booth. I might have seen you there - I would have stayed longer but the AC was cranked up all the way and I had to go outside to warm up!
Really interesting concept, one I haven't seen at a show before. He's from PA/NJ and goes to shows with a huge range of albums, and folks can pick through and take what they want at a dime apiece (apart from a separate range of better material that's a quarter). Found some nice things in the $5-$50 cat range. |

This was my first GASS and I had a great time. Met some dealers I have dealt with online and spent way more than I intended. Thought the venue was excellent. |
