I figured I needed to buy this guide since there are so many references to it on the forum.
When I started looking for a copy I found them to be on sale from $89 to $300. I was getting a little frustrated when I came upon the 6th Edition of 2013. I figured there couldn't be many changes between 2013-2025 so I pulled the trigger at $29.00. This edition is in pristine condition, a brand spanking new guide.

I have a few questions though...Is there a more recent Edition?
Are there any tips and tricks to using the guide? As I want to get the best use out of it.
Was $29 a deal?
I also have the 1840-1940 Classic Specialized, a useful guide.

If this post needs to go elsewhere, by all means go for it

There is a 7th edition published in December 2024. My favorite supply house, Brooklyn Gallery of Coin and Stamps, has it for $38.96.

I can't imagine there is much difference in versions. This guide is super useful, especially for Washington-Franklins. I'm pretty sure I got mine new about 5 years ago and it was not expensive.
