Hello everyone,
I've just turned 40 and am getting back into collecting after being quite into it as a kid. My areas of interest are first issues and stamps from early states / provinces (German states, Italian states, Australian states, Canadian provinces etc.).
Most of my new material comes via FB Marketplace and this naturally means that I spend quite a bit of time trying to separate fakes / reprints etc. from genuine items!
I'm keen to get involved with this community and to continue learning.
Steven

Welcome Steven! I haven't bought via FB marketplace but should probably check it out. The prevalence of fakes and unacknowledged repairs and "improvements" has motivated me to focus more on 20th century postal history. Although the same issues exist with covers they seem less common. |

Welcome back Steven.
Though I have not stopped the hobby, I have cut back on my interests.
Cheers

Thanks for the warm welcome everybody
@Shoveler - not to mention the subtle shade and watermark variations of classic issues! |
