I've got a handful of mounts that I don't need. If anyone wants them, please send me a message with your address and I'll send them out postpaid. The black mount pkgs are open, so not sure how many are there (pretty full though) and no idea how old they are. If they aren't useful to anyone, I'll just toss them. Thanks.

Don't use Crystal Mounts. If you have stamps in Crystal Mounts, remove them. They will ruin your stamps, if they haven't already.

At BALPEX last weekend I heard from a dealer that there is a mount shortage in the US right now. According to the dealer, all the mounts are made in Germany and the US importers have not restocked because they are waiting to see how the tariffs play out.

I also heard from a dealer at BALPEX, perhaps the same one, that all the mounts heading to the US (multiple brands) are stuck on a ship that is not going anywhere. This dealer said that he got that information from his supplier who imports the mounts. I don't know him to tell tales that he has not verified for himself. Some of the dealers at the show I spoke to have been having trouble restocking.

I am not buying this mount shortage .

We will have mounts for the next ten years , lots of collectors have a shoe box full .

I think I got two shoeboxes filled one downstairs and one upstairs ,same as many collectors because not like stamp hinges were one size fits all . We have 10 to 15 different sizes .

The thing to watch is the rising price of mounts. As prices climb more and more will come out of the woodwork . Postage cost is already a big factor in buying mounts and that has climbed these past two years .

The place were prices have made a huge climb is for 102 dealer cards , last year at Compex or the Itasca show ,I seen two dealers selling dealer cards at prices I couldn't believe . Prices are now over $70.00 for 1,000 cards . That is a sure sign in the future things will change .

No more of these 10 boxes or 25 boxes of red dealer boxes filled with low value stamps all sorted and priced being offered at auctions ,not with these cards at 7 cents per card .

Thanks. I was running into the same problem, with all my regular dealers being out of mounts. Just placed a big order with Wizard so I can get back to work.

I had trouble with Hagner stock sheets and Wizard came through. There was a change with Hagner and production slowed/stopped. The new Hagner sheets are far superior now with the gluing neat and clean and the sheets rounded on the corners. Yea!
