Some stamp dealers use ordinary stamps in their sendings. PostNL has issued silver stamps inscribed "Aangetekend" that prepay the standard inland registered letter rate. A stamp dealer has been using these on his sendings. Itis starting to become a mini collection.

My grandmother got me the Beatrix-Willem one in 2013. I have it still in the original packaging and it looks very nice. Maybe I'll post it...

I believe that Ellie88 posting the way the post office sold the stamp you showed is spot on for the topic. By the way, the grandmother who bought the stamp did so for a preteen at the time.

I would think the real philatelic question here is, is the packaging as sold by the PO safe for long term storage?

The images were scanned. Scanners are extremely bad at capturing silver surfaces. The silver surface comes out a dark grey or even black. In reality, the stamp is silver in appearance.
