Thank you, and this is getting quite interesting now, cause in 1989 the double print of black font (doppeldruck schwarz schrift) was known to exist, but now it's not even mentioned in the catalog at all but the upside perforation shift stayed in the catalog with the same price as from 1989, I mean 47500 schillings are now 5000 EUR when you use the schillings rate of exchange to EUR. Plus no catalog mentions nothing about shaky blanket rubber cylinder accuracy leading to double impression/double transfer of black color o the right side of the block.

So, that's leading me back to my sentence that I wrote earlier "I'm starting to think that the souvenir Munich Olympic block with black color double print doesn't exist at all", but yet I have found something that very interesting and in my opinion confirms the existence of the full double print of the black color/font.

All opinions are welcome

Well as I said it was listed in Michel with something like 150 EUR in 2007, and they probably didn't list something that didn't exist. Your question should be asked to Michel directly I guess, as here nobody knows why they don't list it anymore. But at least it was not a valuable error when it was listed.

I don't quite agree, cause I'm definitely sure that I saw it's price 10000 eur in one catalog, I'll need to find it and scan it, but it's also weird that no catalog mentions the broken left foot of letter "M" where I think it more of a plate error than a production error. Also the block size is different - 146,8mm x 105,3mm

Hi stamperix so as you adviced me I did send an email today to Michel (info@michel.de) and kindly asking for explnation regarding Bl.7 and the listing of the blockdoppeldruck schw. schrift (block double print of black font/color), so I hope that Michel will reply. I will post an update once I will get Michel response

"Dear Michel.

Can you please kindly explain, why the latest Michel germany specialized catalog 2017/2018 doesn't list the block of the XX. OLYMPISCHE SPIELE 1972 MUNCHEN with the Blockdoppeldruck (Schw. schrift) Bl. 7 DD?

I remember the Blockdoppeldruck (schw. schrift) Bl. 7 DD was listed in Michel Germany specialized catalog (2001 or 2003 or 2005) for 10.000,-EUR and now it's not there at all, I also remember that this Blockdoppeldruck (schw. schrift) Bl. 7 DD was without price (-,- -,-) in Michel Germany specialized catalog from 1989.

Thank you and looking forward to your reply."

istamp, the 2009 Deutschland-Spezial lists Block 7 DD at 100 euros for mint, never hinged condition and 130 euros for used.

Block 7 DDD (triple black printing) is priced the same way as the double print.

bookbndrbob yes I know and thats why I wrote to Michel asking them to check the 2001, 2003 and 2005 catalog listing for this block. Believe me when I say that such a huge figure for a block is quite easy to not forget, but as we all are getting old I am definitley not excluding the possibility of me being wrong on this

Today I got the confirmation from the German expert that my block is the BDR Bl. 7DD, so I am really looking forward for Michel reply to my request

Maybe you can also contact this seller for more details about his item, if it's the same, at least he says "7DD" and BPP certified.
