I was amazed to see that this stamp, if minted according to Scott is worth $900. As is I think it is only worth $3. I guess finding one minted of this stamp is seriously difficult???

Yes it is.

On these types of stamps, always beware of used stamps that have light cancels removed and then regummed -- even a fake hinge mark to make it look believable.

Interesting. But as it is it isn't worth nothing I guess.

Anyway, I am so glad you don't have a day job :)

Actually, I do -- day and night actually, as I am on call 24 hours a day. But it does allow me to pop in SCF frequently, unless I'm on a road trip.

I find looking at stamps very relaxing, so very much enjoy all the pics you've been posting! Thanks!

My pleasure. More to come I am sure. I ma though the bulk of the important stuff on my dad's collection, but a few pop up here and there from time to time, like on a daily basis :)

Anyway, I will shoot some more pretty stamps in the future and post since people seem to like the hi-res photography as well.
