With HAWID, the 25 mm to 33mm size mounts have been the same price so I just mostly buy the 33mm and trim down. Yes when you get over 50mm it gets pricey. I have a HAWID pen that lets me cut down larger mounts to make smaller ones. I have not ordered any for a couple years since I stocked up for price/postage savings.

Floortrader, I do not disagree with your advice:

I don't know anybody who would use any thing but the best hinge if your going to spend that kind of money to complete those albums

But I am not sure how valid it would be in practice. Yes, you thought ahead and purchased a lifetime supply of Dennison hinges but they are getting harder to find. There are probably only about a dozen for sale on ebay. If the OP existed in a vacuum he could probably come up with 30-40 bags turning over every rock to find them. But what if 10 or 100 or 1000 collectors took your advice. Not sure there is enough easily obtainable supply for everyone. I have been lucky to find a packet or two a year in the wild and reserve them for pre-1920 low value used stamps, all post 1920 used gets a prinz hinge.

GIBBY 01---- I have written on this chat board before ,there was not any full boxes {50 packets } of Dennison Hinges offered up for sale in the year 2025 for the first time since I been tracking hinge prices ,since about 1999 .

I can only guess how this could effect mounted stamp collections . For a nice mid-range stamp collections ,we have been seeing collections sell at auction about 10 cents per stamp if were talking about a 80,000 to 150,000 different collection . So maybe I wouldn't be surprised if the stamp auction firms start to go higher maybe 12 cents is going to be the new base line if people have accepted the fact that hinges are up so high .
