Hi, New to the Forum and trying to figure things out.

Looking for information regarding these Swiss Helvetica stamps, small 40, 1905+ Hoping someone can help.

The first two are on heavy paper, the last two are on regular, lighter paper.

Quote:
Now for the most deadly nuisances amongst the "Standing
Helvetias". The plates of the last issued types of 25
and 40c. were sold by the printer Girardet to someone
in Paris without any restrictions as to their use; they
were still being used after the Second World War. The
completely unauthorised prints from them are in every
imagineable colour, of high quality, though not as high
as the originals, and on a great variety of papers.

These should not be confused with proofs; they are un-
authorised prints of stamps no longer currentor valid

and can have only curiosity value, but enjoy much pop-
ularity.

PIEGANPASS ---Welcome to this chat board .
You will find a lot of people here willing to help you with any questions about stamps .

On the question about your stamps ,I believe they are all Hialeah Florida Forgeries . In the early 2000's I got in trouble with a lot of collectors on the ebay chat board because I was buying and talking to the maker /printer of these FAKES .

I believe I now have one of the biggest reference collections of his Fakes He sold them on ebay as ATDINVEST . . It is a long story of what went on but he sold his inventory and software to make them after ebay and a group with APS support got him shut down .

Continue ....... should make it clear I was the only one talking nice to the guy while the rest of the board just let lose on him . I purchased a few hundred of his material . Cost came out to about 1 cent per forgery for me ,while any forgery was selling for $1.00 or more on ebay if sold as a fake .
Should add , do collect forgeries and fakes as a side collection .

They are not Hialeah fakes. They are, as my link and quote above point out, printed from the original plates. Let's not once again muddy the waters when the question has been answered correctly.
