Is there a book or website with up-to-date information for stamps prior to the Admiral coil stamps of 1913 (Scott #123)?

I'm looking for information: the numbers of the plates that were used, order numbers and placement of the printers info, etc.. I'm not looking for prices.

I have a copy of 'The Canada Plate Block Catalogue by K. Bileski' 4th Edition, printed in Jan. 1959 (red cover). I have been told that there are many errors (embellishments?) in this book. I've not been told what the errors are.

Looking in the 2 current Canadian catalogues, I see only a few references to plate numbers.

Where do I go next?

This may help a bit:

At the bottom of the link page these sources are referenced:

Winthrop Boggs; The Postage Stamps and Postal History of Canada, Second Printing, 1975

Robson Lowe; The Encyclopaedia of the British Empire Postage Stamps, Volume 5, 1973

for admirals, you may want to consult the Marler book.

Thanks for the help.

I'll have to find copies of the referenced articles and books.

Thanks Trodent - this looks promising too.

An excellent book on the different printing plates used is "Canada's Postage Stamps" by Douglas and Mary Patrick.
