These two stamps are very shiny on the front (on the whole stamp), where they supposed to be printed that way or do they have gum on the the front?

They look like perfectly normal used stamps to me.

When you get them under the light they have a coated glossy appearance, too hard to get in a photo.

Hi Partime,
When you say normal do you mean that they are supposed to have a glossy finish on the stamp in other words printed like that.

In my years of experience with stamps, I've noticed that used stamps come from many sources and have been through many different environments. Depending on how it was treated over its life, the surface of one stamp could appear to be dramatically different than the surface of the same stamp. In my opinion, that is considered normal wear and tear for postage stamps.
