Hello All,

I was a stamp collector as a kid and haven't really done much with it until I recently was given my grandmothers collection (she was 103) which I have been trying to sort thru. So it was nice to find this forum and appreciate all the input I have seen so far, thank you! ;)

I have this stamp which I'd like your feedback on, it's a 11 perf from what I see and would like your feedback on this one, and if it's something I should have certified or not? Thank you again and glad to be apart of the forum!

Regards,
GM

Your stamp is a perf 10 coil stamp, Scott 604. No need to certify since it is worth pennies.

So while your stamp does have 11 perforation tips sticking out at top and bottom, that is not how perforations are measured.

Perforations are measured over a set distance. A perforation gauge is used for that measurement purpose.

You are welcome GMC. It's not really about counting as much as it is about measuring. If you don't have a perforation gauge you really need one. It is about the least expensive piece of stamp collecting gear, and you can even print one for free to use until you get a durable one.
