Stampwise, there was very little from GB,USA or China to buy. But the displays were excellent, especially China.

Israel Post issued some excellent items which I will cover in another thread. Including one item that may be a Philatelic first !

5 days for an Exhibition like this was too long. It was also too far away for many, and so the attendances will be small. Tel Aviv in the Centre of the country is a much better venue.
Also, I believe it was poorly advertised both within Israel and outside. But who am I to say.
I did meet with the UK Commissioner to the show and had a nice conversation with him. Cinderella expert Frances Kiddle was a judge and I wanted to have a chat but he was always busy .

Another time.

Londonbus1,

It was a pleasure meeting you on the show and spending the afternoon together

Since I spent an hour or so in one of the stands marketing my albums I had a chance to take a long look at the attendance at the traders' stands and by all means - dealers looked very busy and content.

As for having the stamp shows in Tel-Aviv. I have to agree although I found it very refreshing to have this show on my hometown, and to feel at least for a very brief moment I live in the place "things happen".

Avi

Next I was accosted by two strange-looking gentlemen [dare I call them that?] claiming to be friends of mine. The one on the left told me he was Seahorse but I knew there was something fishy about him.

Didn't they have security at the event?

Sounds like the typical disorganized organization - but a great time nonetheless. I'd love to make another trip to Israel, but unless I hit the lottery . . . . .
