Hello,
My wife inherited her fathers stamp collection.
Most of the stamps are very old, he was collecting in the 1900's.
The collection is in what is called the "Imperial stamp Album" book. I will attach a picture of the first page of U.S. stamps, there are stamps from all over the world.
Thank you!

You did not ask but I assume you are curious about potential value?

Unfortunately, old in stamps does not necessarily mean valuable since stamps were workhorses with most issues printed in the millions and even billions. The other thing with stamps is that they unless you are talking about a genuine rarity (those are few and far between thus the word "rare") condition and centering is everything.

I notice that your stamps are in overall poor condition with bent corners, pieces missing, heavy cancels and most appear to still be on the paper that they came from (envelopes, wrappers etc.). All of these things hurt any value of which there isn't much to start with. Overall, the centering is poor, and several have straightedges which collectors avoid. It is also concerning that you can see from where numerous stamps have been removed (where did they go?) that pieces of stamp selvedge were used as hinges. This usually means damaging stamps attached to the page this way when you try to remove them.

Not any value here but maybe elsewhere besides the US?

The stamps look pretty firmly stuck down, not only by the stamp selvedge but also by any residual stamp gum that got reactivated when the album got damp. On the bright side, they'll soak off in water. Use a soft watercolour brush to wash off the selvedge and gum, and place them face down on a clean non-stick baking pan.

This appears to be a typical child's collection, not carried through to adulthood. These can have the odd goodie in them, but not usually, unfortunately.
