This is MiNr 4Xa, 1850. Can anyone identify the cancellation?

I believe that was the cancel for Oels.

Looks right. Took me a while to find out what that was: a duchy of Silesia that I'd not before heard of. Thanks! But why is such a cancel on an Austrian stamp? So far as I've been able to learn, the province of Silesia , including the Landkreis Oels, belonged to the Kingdom of Prussia in 1850.

Oels on Austrian stamps are most probably from Oels in Moravia, see:
