I found these five postcards in a box lot. They look interesting and may even document some historic event. It would be fun to know who these people are, what event is taking place, and where it is happening. Any help, insight, knowledge, or help would be greatly appreciated.
I do NOT know the answer to your question. Though, for the fun of experimentation, I uploaded the first photograph to Google's search engine and also to Bing's search engine.
Google's response stated: "This image depicts a moment in 1887 showing Kaiser Wilhelm I of Germany entering a carriage. Subject: Kaiser Wilhelm I, the first German Emperor, is central in the photograph. Context: The scene shows the emperor and his entourage on a cobblestone street, likely in Berlin, Germany. Attire: The officials are wearing formal 19th-century Prussian military uniforms and helmets. Photographer: The photograph was taken by German photographer Wilhelm Niederastroth (1874–1927). AI can make mistakes, so double-check responses"
Bing's response stated: "Kaiser Wilhelm II was the last German Emperor and King of Prussia, reigning from 1888 until his abdication in 1918, and is known for his militaristic policies and role in World War I."
PS: I think "aolsson" is smarter than both Google and Bing.
Don't trust AI, it is not King Willhem I - He had "Mutton chops" and died in 1888. So the date of 1887 is feasible, I doubt it is him. Most likely the correct answer is King Ludwig III of Bavaria.
