By the mid seventies collectors looked for more colour in their stamps and the printers obliged. The Austrian State Printer used a combination of engraving and photogravure. Usually 1 colour engraved (black) for the fine details and multicolour photogravure to fill out the image. Some collectors frown upon any such combination prints but I say any engraving is better than none.
