Have just purchased the newer 4 part "Scotts International" album pages for part one.. And am glad I did. The paper is thicker and much higher quality. Countries are in proper order. No more pages where one country is on the front, another on the back. Now am looking for two things- 1.- Acetate interleaving- not the glassine. also, 2- a set of Vintage Reproduction album pages for the old Scott brown albums, just part one 1840-1900. Either new, or excellent used condition.. Have tried Subway and a few other dealers, no help so far... Anyone out there able to help?

I've been waiting for a couple of boxes of 102 cards from Subway for a couple months now, but when I email for updates, I do get responses.
You might try sending an email to: amohney@subwaystamp.com
Good Luck in your Big Blue adventures! I'm over 93% on my '47 copy.... Hope this helps, Ray |

Subway is the only seller of the Vintage Reproduction pages, so they have to be your source. Finding them used is going to be very difficult. These pages are listed on the Subway website, so what's the problem? Here they are: https://subwaystamp.com/collections/vintage-pagesAs for clear acetate interleaving, apparently no one makes that anymore, and Subway was also the major seller of that up until a few years ago. It's much better than glassine, I find. I've put it in my Scott International album. I bought these acetate interleafs sometime ago, but apparently Subway no longer sells them -- I think? Maybe if enough people ask for it, they'll bring it back? |

I tried with Subway, no uck... Just hoping another dealer may have some they were "stuck" with... or a reader may have a first volume, used but almost empty, maybe one another collector has left behind... maybe on their way to that big bourse in the sky.. |

I am using Grafix Dura-Lar 8 1/2 x 11. Not quite full size, if you wanted that you'd have to buy bigger and trim them yourself. It isn't actual acetate any more (acetate is a wood prouct, this is closer to mylar). The stuff made for Big Blue just isn't available, Subway won't even return my emails about it. You have to hole punch the Dura-Lar yourself, I already have a punch for 2-hole for the foam spacers I make. |

The problem with selling used albums ,especial the many I get each year . The buyers always want perfect condition . Years ago I sold or try to sell the many used albums that came to me in bulk lots I purchased at auction . The problem was buyers wanted to adjust the price after the sale was completed . Because the books were not perfect , corner of binder was worn thru wanted 25% refund , shipped a 10 volume set of Scott International ,customer on ebay wanted a 50% discount some pages were stained and mounts were glued on a few pages but knew that from the ad on ebay . . After two or three returns that I paid for ,it is better for me to throw those nice hundreds of dollars per set in the trash . |

Floor trader, I understand completely. I bought a nearly perfect condition Scotts Intl Vol 1, pages were clean, not raggy at edge, really nice. Only when I went to sell it, discovered that the first two pages of China were missing. Now what do I do with it. Anyone out there need this album, or any part thereof? |

Foam sheets from a craft store, hole punched on my now-2-hole-punch, cut into strips using my wife's fancy Dahle rotary cutter. Looks like this (I'm in the middle of expanding from 2 to 3 binders): |

Thanx tiger dude... Looks better than cardboard.. Will get some sheets from HobyLobby.. insert every 5-10 pages or so... I am using the square Scott green 3 ring binders...using 4-5 binders to hold the new 4 section part one.

What are the foam strips made of? Do they claim any archival qualities? |

I don't recall, it's craft foam, which seems at least as archival as any cardboard I could find. |

Agree that it looks much better than cardboard (I was flirting with the cardboard route myself). Appreciate the little things that I pick up around this board. Thanks for sharing! |

I have no basis to say that the foam is an issue, but I'm careful about putting anything in long term contact with my stamps. |

I suspect that the element with least archival qualities in contact with my stamps is me. |
