While going through my father's stamps, I came across this unusual stAmp. On the top of the stamp it says, Documentary. Around the picture it says ,united states internal revenue. On the bottom is the denomination of 1 dollar. It is stamped Stock Transfer. And is perforated in the center that reads DEC and two letters I cannot quite read. If this is in the wrong thread I apologize. Thank you for your help.

It should be in "US Back of Book". And the picture is horrible. You need to do better than that for good answers. That being said it appears to be Scott RD12 or RD30. Hard to tell through the blur and from the size of the stamp within your image. Scott value used is about 30 cents. Real value is pennies. A revenue collector may like the "DEC".

Here's a clear version of RD12

This is not a Cinderella, but is a Scott listed revenue stamp. Very common.

Thank you for the information. As far as I can see, this is the only one in the collection.

There is no gum. It has been punched with the letters DEC and two others below, I can't make out. I assume its cancelled.
