Slovakia 2025 year issue - Butterfly:
I need to say, that some drastic change I made in the last few years, and it is that instead of keeping in stock all issues from specific countries I have, I reduced it just to few, which have design on level.
It is almost impossible to obtain "at the time" new issues, reasons go from high delivery fees to high face values of each issue, so I focused on just one or two from all issued in 2025.
Slovakia has a "clever" issuing policy, and they choose less issues per year than some other that have it "overflow" in one calendar year.
Let's see the 2025 year.
Total of 18 stamps issued, with around 76.00 US$ face value. Not a lot so collectors who specialized in just this country, will be able to have all issues in collection.
They still have good design and a really good quality printing way, but visible is that some issues are just "standard" offset printing instead engraved one!
So, from all 18 stamps issued I can mention hardly more than this one, which made a really "wow" mark!
It is officially named "Nature Protection: The collection of Butterflies in the Museum of Central Slovakia, Banska Bystrica".
It was issued in 06. 06. 2025, design by Karol Felix and engraving by Josef Cesla.
Stamp format in s/s, that have stamps with face value in pair with one without face value (tab or gutter, someone call it), and on bottom another one Butterfly as "ornament" to have one "full" picture.
All other (17) stamps are in less attractive design, and one even in a really "strange" one, but, all depend on collectors "taste".
Need to mention, that with this Butterfly issue, come another s/s printed in black color only, on hard paper, with number on each one printed, and it is good part of policy from Slovakia Post, that they still have preferred to keep with this "black print" once per year, even that economy and profit are against it!
Keep an eye on this issue, probably You will need to search a little bit around suppliers to see the best price to pay, because face value is a little bit over 4.00 US$ per sample, so with postage cost for delivery, it can take a "nice" expenses from "Philately Budget".
My opinion is that a simple design with just "perfect" color composition gives us one really good stamp in the collection!
