I have a National Bank Note Company spider press. I am looking for any information on the company, specifically the time frame of 1858-1865. Can anyone recommend any books that have detailed information? How about articles?
I know this press was used for printing postage stamps as well as postage currency. The only place I have found any information in the Postal Museum at the Smithsonian. There is tons of stuff on the American Bank Note Co, but not the National Bank Note company.
Thanks!
