I have this stamp as MNH and with a 1/2P overprint on it



I tried to locate it in Scott, but I have no idea where to look for it. I think the original stamp was printed in 1963, but I am not sure about my overprint.

Any thoughts on it please?

Hi Marc,

The original stamp is Scott #1 from 1963 as you said.

The overprinted version is Scott #25 from 1971 when the UK changed to a decimal currency.

Yes a very nice stamp Marc. The whole set is a beautifully engraved set.

Here are a couple from near-by South Georgia, issued around the same time - also engraved.

Yes, those are very nice too BeeSee. The overprint on the second looks a lot like the style of the overprint on mine as well. Thanks for sharing.
