I am all for comments about dealers but it is another to question why some do business with some sellers...
I have not seen any posts where this happened.
For me, the issue is being aware of the impact of posting 'I buy from seller X' when there is an obviously clear pattern of mis-described listings. Of course folks can buy from and support whomever they desire. Of course folks can build a collection any way they see fit.
Should folks not worry or care about the impact of posting that they buy from and support a seller with 100s or 1000s of incorrectly described listings? Perhaps. No crime in posting any opinion and we certainly allow folks to make these kinds of posts. In fact, if someone want to post they buy and support even the most notorious online sellers, it is allowed. (Thankfully no one has ever tried to organize any kind of boycott towards any seller. This would not sit well with me and I would struggle with the decision to allow a post like that even if the seller was a convicted criminal.)
My desire is that folks think through the impact of posting that they buy from and support a particular seller especially with the less experience readers of this forum. I also try to promote the understanding that education of just the material is not enough when buying online. It also takes some discovery and effort to identify quality sellers and to then build a good relationship with them.
Believing that building a good collection only takes buying the cheapest material you can find online, regardless of who you buy from, is not a good buying strategy for most new collectors. I think that promoting the building of a strong relationship with a quality seller is a good buying strategy and one we should be promoting.
