Rod, that is a photo with layers of British cultural reference...

Anyhow, our clocks went back last night, we have gone from British Summer Time back to plain old Greenwich Mean Time. I was going to post just the plain map stamp from this June 1984 set, but I like the way the set works together to show the meridian line's exact position. Its well thought-out , I think, and predates Google Earth/Maps/Street by decades.

Londonbus1, sometimes Canada Post gets the idea of illustrated tabs and sometimes they don't.

The new insects series of definitives are neat but I just wish they weren't insects!

Here's my contribution - a 1971 South African stamp with a map of Antarctica. An unusual stamp as it is rare - it was the standard rate for airmail post but was issued during the UK postal strike of 1971, so not many were used.

Oops - it's my firest posting and the image has a lot of blank space - sorry!
