Brazil 1973 Monteiro Lobato 6v. This stamp belongs to a serie of 6 stamps honoring the story 'Sítio do Picapau Amarelo', from de brazilian writer Monteiro Lobato ( 1882-1948) , that wrote a lot of stories for children and youth. In the stamp is the character 'Visconde de Sabugosa' , a corncob. The illustration is from Benedito Bastos Barreto (1897-1947) and depicts Visconde de Sabugosa and Emilia.  |
