@ Phil - Some of the early US metered stamps are hard to get on cover. One of the collections I am putting together is a collection of covers with metered stamps from every country that issued them. So far my collection is very limited.
To be honest, I have forgotten I owned the Argentina cover until I added to this thread today. I am afraid it is my only one (I am keeping it). |

I posted a Catalog link to the US Metered Mail from the Meter Mail society on the boards here a few months back, if you can find it, I think it would help you as to value and cataloging. Also I have a spread sheet that was sent to me by the Meter Mail society with earliest know usages as I have a small collection of the very early Meters from the 1920's and 30's and I have some that are earlier than previously reported to the MMS. *edit* Found it http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Intern...rica,_Part_1 |

@Stallzer - Yes, I posted a link to this site earlier today. Great minds think alike. I have a few each from groups B and C. This weekend I went through and arranged my extant collection based on type and number. Most of mine are group D and group G and later. |

I have a very small number of meter covers that relate to countries that I collect - I pick them when I see one that I like - they make an intersting little sideline to my main collecting areas

This cover from New Zealand has an extra or misplaced stamp on the left: I guess not properly called a meter, this cover was mailed from American Consulate General office in Brazil. Although dateless, it is from the same time period as the New Zealand cover above. |
