150 years of red cross in Germany



On cachet is Elsa Brandstrom (1888-1948) worshiped as Angel of Siberia, came in 1915 in the service of the Swedish red cross and acquired during the first world war great merits in the supply of German and Austrian prisoner of war in Russian camps.

Here is an image of an engraved stamp depicting a couple of cheerful factory health workers, and issued by China (People's Republic) on June 25, 1955 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Red Cross Society of China, Scott No. 242. Note: The Red Cross is printed by typography.

Here is an image of an airmail stamp depicting two stylized human figures, a globe, and the emblems of the Red Crescent, Red Cross, and Red Lion and Sun Societies, printed by photogravure, and issued by Burkina Faso (Upper Volta) on June 23, 1972 to publicize World Red Cross Day, Scott No. C105.
