More great RED CROSS stamps from stamperdude! 1964 Burundi, 1963 Yugoslavia ,Maldive Islands 1963 ,and Congo. (Seems some confusion on when the 100th anniversary was, but we discussed that at the beginning of this thread.) Thanks again, Stamperdude! Gussyboy1 |

I am glad that you are enjoying your new additions. I didn't realize that one of the covers was addressed to the New York World's Fair of 1964. The stamps and covers were liberated from some bad hinges and/or tape as you can tell from the discoloration and browning. |

Very nice, I like those. Quote: Being a nurse, I love the nurse and related stamps! My wife does first aid instructions in her free time, she loves the Red Cross ones too. Here are some I found: Image: rk1.JPG18.05 KB Some Turkish ones, one of them mis-perforated: Image: rk2.JPG30.88 KB I even found some WW1 cinderellas. "For our prisoners of war": Image: rk4.jpg59.92 KB I may find more, if I dig deeper into the piles |

Great Red Cross stamps guys! PLEASE SHOW US YOUR RED CROSS stamps here ON THE FORUM! WE LOVE THEM!
Linn's Stamp News had one in their kichen table philately column on Jan. 5th,2009-page 38- showed a Nigerian Red Cross stamp (last one is this group). The stamp valued at $1.75 in a group of 90 obtained for $3. Not bad, but you never know what you might get in those groups. the scan is from freestampcatalogue.com Gussyboy1 |
