I guess theres always a STORY with a stamp...back around 1949 when I "discovered" stamp collecting my Father worked for a publishing company that published a trade magazine..very boring..but at this time many foreign countries could not send money out of the country to pay for subscribtions..but they could send stamps ! Weird eh ? These countries..i remember him bringing me China,Great Britain and Romania..would pay for their subscriptions with stamps..here is an example from Romania !
