Ok some of you smarties know what I didnt know after 60 years of stamp collecting and 10 years of collecting a Spanish speaking country. I had to be browsing the Stamp Collectors Handbook that I found in a carton in my cellar..it was written by a Samuel Grossman in 1957 and if you get a copy it will put most of you light years of knowledge ahead of where you are now...it has just about any definition you could ask for iin it...anyway I have seen Habilitado on stamps of Peru etc for years..yeah yeah its probably a charity stamp or a semi postal..big deal...But No...it means that a discontinued stamp has been pressed back into service, valid again for postage...i guess its never too late to loin !

I will keep an eye out for that book!
I think we have to push ourselves to keep learning new things or we do get old.

I did a search for the book on Amazon and they have several dating from 1957 to 2007 available starting at $0.92 for a used pne and going up. All seem to be reasonably priced.
