I think I posted this in the wrong place, and I did get some help from "modern who", however I can only get one picture at a time using his method ( probably using it wrong). Anyway how do people who list get scrolling pictures from a web site in their Description box.

Did EBay change their policy on posting pictures? I have several pages left from an album my dog got to and wrecked the covers plus.
When I try to add a hyperlink to a web site with the pictures I am unable to do it.
I think I did it before form the insert list in the description box, but I can't get to work now.
Can anyone help me ?

The scrolling pictures are usually from joining a site called Auctiva or anther one Vendio. I don't use them myself, I host my pics on my internet supplier. I don't do enough eBay to warrant a bigger amount of storage space. I have read that they would work with my way (HTML) and you can move the scrolling box around to where you want it or where it would be most effective.

At the top of the description box on the Sell You Item page there is a text link to Add or Remove Options. Maybe the add inserts is not checked off in that? I do not use it but I am behind the times a bit I think.

The Auctive scrolling is for your other listings, one pic per listing, to advertise the other items you have.

There is probably a way to do scrolling pictures of one listing's pics but I am not sure how. At least I have never done it (yet).

Shipscript eBay user has a bunch of tols for listing on his ME page:

Or maybe, if all you want is just to add pictures to your listing, how eBay does it now is to use the Add Pictures button in the place that looks like the gallery add a picture place and then you can add up to 12 pictures (I think) and they will be arranged below (as thumbnails) the main picture on the left hand side of the first part of the displayed screen.

In that area I think you can put your picture hyperlinks etc. I just use that area to upload one pic for my gallery pic and use html for any extra pics. According to eBay extra pics beyond the first helps to sell your item 17% more of the time. Woohoo I like it. More work, but worthwhile.

eBay tries to keep all the important info up above where people stay or move (click) on, and avoids (unless you do it by using html) putting too much info below, where people might not even scroll down to see anything before they leave or bid.

Pictures sell.

Using eBay's add pictures button means you have to pay for each one. I upload the one free pic to eBay to use as my gallery pic like Puzzler and then use HTML for my listing. Using HTML and JavaScript you can have as many pictures as you like for free. I host my pictures on Photobucket and use the same sort of code that Puzzler showed you in the other thread to link to them. I actually set up a table, with the thumbnails showing down the left side and then the enlarged pic in the centre, and you click on the thumbnails to change the enlarged pic. This involves a bit of script though and some knowledge of HTML. You should be able to use the line that Puzzler showed you, repeating it with each different image, like this:

<img src="http://i957.photobucket.com/albums/no57/username/eBay2010/Stamp.jpg">
<img src="http://i957.photobucket.com/albums/no57/username/eBay2010/Stamp_rear.jpg">

Did you try that?

Actually if you add <center> at the start and </center> at the end of your images, they will appear in the centre instead of the left side, which looks better. So put that right at the start and end - <center><img src= ... etc

From what you describe, you probably need to use a photo hosting service that offers some sort of slide show. I list all items 1 photo at a time, and just listed an old album with 134 images:

Balf, I believe all eBay hosted photos are now free in the stamps category at the US site. It may differ elsewhere, such as eBay Australia.
